About us

Bearmore is a wellbeing app for people with busy lives who want to feel better and get back on track. It’s built for real life, where plans change and time can be tight.

We’ve turned wellbeing research into usable, practical guidance, and developed tools that work under pressure and over time.

We want to help people feel more in control of their time and energy, and stick with the habits they care about.

What makes Bearmore different

Bearmore brings three areas under one roof:

Research: What the evidence suggests
Application: How to apply it in real life
Tech: The systems that makes it usable

We’ve done this because we believe sustainable results depend on people being able to apply good evidence in real life with systems that make it convenient.

Research-based and responsible in what we claim

Bearmore draws on published academic research on wellbeing habits and activities, because it gives us a solid basis for deciding what may help, what to include, and how to talk about it.

Some areas are well studied, others are still developing, and findings do not always translate neatly into everyday life.

We went deep on assessing research studies. We treat evidence with care: we qualify what we say, we stay clear about limitations, and we never dress uncertainty up as certainty.
We start with credible sources

We start with credible sources and assess it using structured ways of evaluating evidence, then prioritise research that’s methodologically strong and relevant to real-world behaviour.

We speak with care

We separate what the evidence suggests from what we’ve chosen as a product decision. When the evidence is strong we’ll say so; when it’s mixed or limited, we’ll say that too.

Giving back through citizen science

We don’t just read research, we also test and share what we’re learning from how Bearmore works in practice. We’re also expanding this open learning loop into more reports and collaboration-friendly datasets.

Knowing what research points to is one thing. The application of it is another.

Suggestions from research can point people in the right direction, but that does not mean it will be practical, appealing, or something that can be repeated over time. That is why we put significant thought and resources into it's application. Credible research is useful when it can be turned into a product people can use.
We designed for real life from the outset

We put a lot of thought and work into how research could be applied in everyday life. We looked at what the evidence pointed to, then worked through how it could be made practical, understandable, and achievable for people leading busy lives.

Less time scrolling and more time doing

The structure of a game plan means people spend less time having to work out what to do, and more time doing it. We make getting started straightforward, keeping it going easier through personalised insights, and restarting a guilt-free choice.

Improving how application works

Application is something we continue to refine. As we learn more about how people use Bearmore, we can improve how activities are recommended, how plans can be personalised, and how insights can become more specific.

Tech is what turns research and application into something functional and useful

It lets us take work that would otherwise stay theoretical or manual and build it into something clear, scalable, and widely accessible. We use AI because it increases what we can do, but we stay in the driver’s seat when it comes to reasoning, judgement, and decision making.
Built for security & scale

We’ve focused on secure, scalable foundations that let Bearmore iterate quickly. Systems that can be updated and improved while keeping the product experience clear and straightforward for users.

R&D that shows up in the interface

A lot goes into Bearmore: meticulous research, thoughtful systems, and cutting edge tech that makes using it a pleasure. When someone opens the app, they should be able to understand what’s going on in seconds, not minutes.

Using AI to push what's possible

We use AI to speed up analysis, content production, and iteration The goal isn’t speed for its own sake; it’s building faster while upholding standards. Everything we put into the world has had human quality control.

The team

Bearmore is built by a cross-functional team across tech, research and application. These disciplines are supported by an ongoing group of specialists who contribute on full and part-time basis.

All work is interconnected. Research sets the standard for what gets included, application keeps it practical for everyday life, and tech keeps it clear, accessible, and easy to use.

Founder and CEO. Aulay leads product and engineering at Bearmore. His work covers the systems underneath the product, the technical direction, and how complex information gets turned into something usable.

Michele’s role is to make sure advice, plans, and product structure work in a way that makes sense to the people who will be using it. That means thinking carefully about how the product is expressed and how it works in everyday life.

Hannah leads the evidence process at Bearmore. She decides what meets the standard to be included, how clearly the strength of the evidence is explained, and how claims are kept responsible and up to date.

Bearmore is also built with input from specialists across design, engineering, marketing, and guide production. Even though people work in different roles or arrangements, the level of quality and care is consistent across the team.
